Onion Lake
The Onion Lake Health Board Inc. is
seeking applications for a temporary, full-time Dental Therapist for
the Onion Lake First Nation to fill a maternity leave. This
position is available from November 1, 2010 to April 21, 2011. This
position will be primarily to carry out comprehensive treatment
programs to preschool and school-aged children as an integral member
of a dental team. The successful candidate will provide restorative
and preventive services and also be involved with some community
based public health programming.
Qualifications:
-Graduate of a recognized diploma
education program of dental therapy.
-Meet the required qualifications to
retain registration and annual licensure with the Saskatchewan
Dental Therapist Association.
-A criminal record check will be
required.
-A valid Class 5 driver’s license will
be required.
The ideal candidate will have:
-Experience in working with First Nation
Peoples.
-An interest in improving the oral
health of the community.
